The Char Dham Yatra is considered one of the most important religious journeys for Hindus and is
believed to wash away one's sins and grant spiritual salvation. Pilgrims often start their journey from
Haridwar or Rishikesh and follow a well-defined route that covers these four holy places.
The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is a holy journey in India that takes you to four important Hindu
shrines situated in the states Garhwal region. These shrines are:
Yamunotri: The source of the Yamuna River, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.
Gangotri: The origin of the Ganges River, dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
Kedarnath: A sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
Badrinath: A major pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Drive to Barkot, the base for Yamunotri.
En route, visit the Kempty Falls near Mussoorie. (If time permits)
Overnight stay in Barkot.
Very early morning drive to Jankichatti, the last place till where car can reach
For Jankichatti start the trek/ hire a palki or poni till the Yamunotri temple (06 KM trek)
Arrival at the temple take a darshan at the temple dedicated to God Yamuna
Later return to Jankichatti where the transportation is waiting
Meet the driver and return at the Hotel
Overnight stay in Barkot.
Morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi.
Arrival at Uttarkashi
Check in at the reserve Hotel
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi
Morning drive to Gangotri
Arrival at Gangotri and take a darshan of Gangotri
Gangotri is dedicated to God Ganga
Take your own time at the Gangotri temple and later drive back to Uttarkashi
Arrival at the Hotel
Relax and Dinner and Overnight at Hotel in Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast drive to Guptkashi
Arrival at Guptkashi which is the base of Kedarnath
Evening relax at the Hotel for next day which gone be a day trek to Kedarnath
Relax and Dinner and Overnight at Hotel in Guptkashi
Early Morning drive to Sonprayag till where the transport can reach
On arrival Sonprayag take a local taxi which has permitted by the government to transfer from
Sonprayag till Gaurikund
Gaurikund is the starting point of Kedarnath trek which is approx. 16 KM trek
Trek to Kedarnath is challenging but the pilgrimage around you keep motivating you to trek
Arrive at Kedarnath & check in at the booked Camp/ lodge at Kedarnath
After refresh evening you can take a darshan of Lord Siva for which Kedarnath is dedicated
Overnight at Kedarnath
Early Morning get ready and take a darshan of Lord Shiva
After divine visit take a breakfast and return to Gaurikund by trek which is approx. 16 km
From Gaurikund take a local taxi and drive till drive to Sonprayag where the transport is waiting for
you.
Drive toward the Hotel at Guptkashi ‘
Arrival at Guptkashi, relax and Overnight stay at Guptkashi
Morning breakfast and drive to Badrinath
Driving from Guptkashi is a long day which take around 7-8 hours
Arrival at Badrinath visit the local Mana village and near by places
Evening return to the Hotel
Overnight at Badrinath
Early morning take a darshan of Lord Vishnu Ji
After darshan return to hotel and take the morning breakfast
Later drive to Srinagar/ Rudraprayag
Relax at the Hotel
Overnight at Srinagar/ Rudraprayag
Morning breakfast & drive to Haridwar/ Rishikesh or Dehradun
As per your requested plan the driver will drop you
