Overview:

This itinerary covers the four sacred shrines Yamunotri. Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath which is located in the Himalayan region and holds great religious significance.

Tour Plan

Day 01 Haridwar – Barkot – 08 hrs drive

Morning pick up from Haridwar railway station and continue drive towards Barkot en- route visit Kempty Fall in Mussoorie. After that drive straight to Barkot.

On arrival check in at the pre- booked hotel.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Barkot.

Day 02 Barkot – Yamumotri- Barkot – 8 hrs

Morning after breakfast drive to Jankichatti and start a trek of 06 kms  to Yamunotri (you can go by horse or by doli at own cost). Take a bath in Jamunabai Kund’s warm water and having a Darshan of Yamunaji and then return back to Jankichatti by trek.

After that drive back to Barkot.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Barkot.

Note : At Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the Tapt kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila. Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs near the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.

Day 03 Barkot – Uttarkashi – 100 kms/ 4 hrs

Breakfast at the hotel and drive towards Uttarkashi is also situated on the banks of river Ganga similar to Varanasi. Later visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple which is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Shakti temple – right in front of the Vishwanath temple is Shakti temple which has a big Trishul of about 6 meters in height.

Day 04 Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 kms – one way)

Morning after having a breakfast at the hotel drive towards Gangotri en-route visit Gangnani where you will take a holy dip in Garam Kund, and later drive to Gangotri en- route visit beautiful Harsil valley.

Upon arrival at Gangotri, take a holy dip in sacred river Ganges which is also known as Bhagirathi where one can perform Pooja and Darshan.

Later drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at the hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 05 Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (220 kms – 08 hrs drive)

Breakfast in Uttarkashi drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgoan. En-route witness the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara, drive alongside the river. Visit ArdhNarishwar temple, Guptkashi.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Guptkashi.

Day 06 Guptkashi to Kedarnath (30 Kms by road and 19kms by trek)

Morning after having a breakfast at Guptkashi, start a trek for Kedarnath Dham.

Kedarnath is one of the 12 jyotrilingas of Lord Shiva,  Kedar is the other name of Lord Shiva. One can also take helicopter, pony or palki instead of trek.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Kedarnath.

Poni – 5000-6000/- Approx.

Palki – 8000-9000/- Approx.

Helicopter cost – 6500-7000/ approx.

Day 07 Kedarnath to Guptkashi

Morning after having a darshan at Kedarnath Temple drive back to Guptkashi by trek or helicopter.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Guptkashi.

Day 08 Guptkashi – Badrinath (160 Kms/ 6.5 hrs drive)

Morning after having a breakfast continue drive towards Badrinath. Upon arrival check in at the hotel in Badrinath. After having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in evening.  One can also visit Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River.

Day 09 Badrinath – Joshimath – Srinagar (180 kms/ 6 hrs drive)

Breakfast at the hotel and drive towards Srinagar en-route visit Srinagar.

Upon arrival check in at the hotel.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 10 Srinagar – Haridwar (130 kms)

After breakfast drive towards Haridwar en-route Rishikesh visit various temple and Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula.

Later continue drive towards Haridwar and drop at railway station.
