Boudhanath: One of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal, furthermore  it is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. Boudhanath is an imposing structure standing some 36 meters. The Stupa stands on the massive three level mandala style Platforms surrounded by colourful private family houses. Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list this site is considered very much like Mecca for the Buddhists and every year tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the Himalayan region visit the stupa.

Swayambhunath Stupa is the most ancient and enigmatic of all the holy shrines in Kathmandu valley. Its lofty white dome and glittering golden spire are visible for many miles and from all sides of the valley. Historical records found on a stone inscription give evidence that the stupa was already an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination by the 5th century AD. Swayambhunath stupa is also called the `Monkey Temple because of the many hundreds of monkeys who scamper about the temple at night after the pilgrims and priests have departed.

Day 02 Today we do trekking of Nagarkot from Changunarayan

Breakfast at Hotel.

Later we drive about 2 hour to Changunarayan and visit then we start walk to Nagarkot.

The long day of walking required a bit of extra strength. The trail start is a gentle uphill walk through a local forest and local village.  We will have beautiful views of spectacular Himalayas as well. Beautiful sounds of birds and streams next to us will also add more fun to the trip. We will stop in a small village called Tamang village before continuing further to Nagarkot. We will pass through several villages in the hills before climbing steep uphill to reach Nagarkot and it is a 4 to 5 hours duration .

Changu Narayan is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple was surrounded by champak tree forest and a small village known as Changu. The temple is located in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur District, Nepal. Prayash Dahal and our Aayush gelal reside here. Also udvhav and sushant. This hill is about 7 miles or 12  km east of Kathmandu and a few miles north of Bhaktapur. The Manohara River flows beside the hill. This shrine is dedicated to lord Visnu and held in special reverence by the Hindu people. This temple is considered to be the oldest temple in the history of Nepal. The Kashmiri king gave his daughter, Champak, in marriage to the prince of Bhaktapur. Changu Narayan Temple is named after her.

Nagarkot: It is a village in central Nepal, at the rim of the Kathmandu Valley at an altitude of 2,200 m above sea level. It’s known for its views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest to the northeast, which are especially striking at sunrise and sunset. The surrounding scrubland is laced with trails and home to many butterflies.

Day 03 Drive Kathmandu en-route sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur and Patan City

Early morning sun rise over Himalaya. Breakfast at Hotel. Drive back to Kathmandu enroute Bhaktapur city and There will be sightseeing of Patan city.

Bhaktapur: The city is also known, as like a museum of medieval art and architecture with many examples of sculpture, woodcarving and colossal pagoda temples consecrated to different gods and goddesses which is 15 km far from Kathmandu. It is a conglomeration of pagoda and Shikhar-style temples grouped around a fifty-five-window palace of brick and wood. The square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal. The golden effigies of kings perched on the top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries, the wood carvings in every place-struts, lintels, uprights, tympanums, gateways and windows-all seem to form a well-orchestrated symphony. Pottery and weaving are its major traditional industries.

Patan: the oldest of all the three cities of Kathmandu valley. It is the best known for its artistic heritage. It is probably one of the oldest Buddhist City in the world. The city is situated on a plateau across Bagmati River. Another name of Patan, is Lalitpur. The city is surrounded by 4 Stupas as 4 corners of Patan, one at each corner of its cardinal points. These stupas are said to have been built by the famous Emperor Ashoka. This is one of the most elegant architectural treasures of which Patan is very proud. About the beauty of Patan, a western lady writer has to say this – “Patan means eternity itself and Patan Durbar Square is the spectacular sight of Asia indeed”. Really it is full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments with bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings and many visitors come here to see the these monuments. Patan Durbar square is the famous visiting place. The square is full of ancient places, temples, and shrines noted for their exquisite carvings. The major attraction here are Krishna Temple, Golden Window, Patan Museum, Mahabouddha Temple, etc. Evening enjoy local market on own or shopping souvenir.
